We will have a booth similar to the Animarathon 2022 booth, with a 10 x 20 space that is a combination of stationery and Japanese kimono. Our selection of kimonos will include a delicious selection of authentic ready-to-wear kimonos imported directly from Japan. Our range of traditional kimonos will include yukatas, iromuji, and even some more formal styles like kurotomesode. In addition to a selection of authentic kimonos, we will have accessories to wear kitsuke kimonos such as himo, obi-ita and makura. In addition, there will be a selection of adorable haori and obi in a wide range of colors and styles.
If you can’t make it to Animarathon to shop with us, we have a few more shows this year in or around Ohio. After the Animarathon we will be at the Cherry Blossom Festival in Akron, Ohio and then the Cherry Blossom Festival in Fort Wayne Indiana. All these events are the perfect excuse to wear a kimono, or Haori outside. Feel free to stop by and ask for help with your kimono if you need it, we’d be happy to lend a hand if things aren’t too busy.
As always, customers dress up by purchasing their kimono with us. We offer culturally respectful kimono dressings.
Anyone who is new to wearing kimono and feeling a bit overwhelmed by the process, we always recommend opting for a yukata as their first kimono and then exploring other formal types. Yukatas are perfect for convention and festival wear and are among the easiest types of kimono to wear.
