Things have been exceptionally busy with a number of shows lately. Now that the in-person shows have slowed down, we can get back to focusing on adding new inventory to the online Japanese kimono store! At the moment we are working on the list of a lot of new vintage and antiques haori to the site that are perfect for spring, and fall attire. Some of the haori are antiques from the taisho era and are ready for a home to love.
Also in the works this week is a great selection of gently used vintage yukatas that are perfect for any Japanese street festival or anime convention. Yukatas are the light and informal kimonos most often worn at parties. In terms of learning to wear a kimono, yukata they are among the easiest to learn to use and require the fewest additional accessories to use traditionally. For anyone new to wearing Japanese kimono, we highly recommend trying a haori or yukata first.
