shippo, seven Treasures, seven treasures
While the name translates to “seven treasures,” this is not the exact meaning of the pattern. “Shippou” is a repeating circular pattern, with each circle made up of four equal-sized pieces. Each segment is used as part of another circle.

The name “seven treasures” arises as a representative of the seven treasures in Buddhism.
It is not necessary to be a Buddhist or to know Buddhism to wear this pattern, since it is simply a good omen that brings harmony, happiness and good karma. The connected circles also represent how connected and important relationships are.
Sometimes you will see flowers inside the circles, although this is mainly for decoration.
